Broxburn United Sports Club - Opening

Tuesday the 3rd of August 2010 was a great day for PMR Leisure's long standing client BUSC as they  unveiled  their long awaited pavilion and FIFA 2* 3G pitch. The building was opened by Stewart Harris Chief Executive of sportscotland and Leader of the Council Peter Johnston.

sportscotland's Chief Executive Stewart Harris said:

"The community led approach taken by Broxburn United and it's partners including West Lothian Council is a great example of how we see facilities developing in the future. That's why we are delighted to support the project with advise and guidance, in addition to investment of £500,000 fro the Sports Faciliuties fund.

Kilwinning Community Sports Club

 We are delighted to see the unveiling of KCSC designs for the new pavilion and synthetic pitch. We have worked alongside Slorach Wood for the last 18 months to bring forward as an achieveable project which reflects the needs of this well known community club. The project vauled at c £3m has good support from funders and is due to be started next year in 2011.

 

Argyll & Bute Council

Following the successful conclusion of the OBC for a new swimming pool for Helensburgh PMR are now undertaking the Argyll & Bute Facilities and Pitches Strategy which will set the Council's investment Startegy for Sport for the next 5 - 10 years. An addition to this work PMR Leisure are working alongside the Council's Leisure Review Team to act as an independant observer to the process.

 Inch Park Community Sports Club

IPCSC is on track for opening in October 2010 and PMR Leisure are currently supporting the new Club Development Manager who has been appointed to deliver the project in Inch Park, Edinburgh.

Sport & Social Enterprise

Following our involvement with the 2 successful Sport & Social Enterprise conferences over the last few years a new 'Round Table' group has been formed  to support the new Sport & Social Enterprise Network and lead policy change on this agenda. Penny sits on this Group which has reprsentation from SENSCOT, Social Investment Scotland, sportscotland, The Robertson Trust, Scottish Government, key sports Social Enterprises, The Supporters Trust, The Homeless World Cup and SSA
